Growing up, there were always books lying around the house and weekends were for family visits to the library! At night, my brother and I snuggle up next to my mother and she would read us a book. Sometimes, we get to read it aloud or in one picture book, The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, it was all pictures and no words. So my brother and I took turns interpreting the pictures and tell our version of the story. For that, thank you Ma for making reading so fun!

If you haven’t got up to speed with Books & Treats, photos of #2 event on 10 October 2015 at Learning Point’s Parkway Centre branch are up on Facebook!

Thank you to parents and kids who came down to enjoy the book swops and treats and we raised about $140 that will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund! So a special big shoutout to the wonderful talents who gave their time on a Saturday to give back to charity and bring such joy to the kids who tried out the treats!

We are looking to somehow expand this further so that’s currently brewing! Meanwhile, Books & Treats #3 happens again this coming November. Look out for the date and mark it down :)
